AGENCE OMETZ
Agence Ometz supports and strengthens individuals and
families by offering a range of human services in the
fields of employment, immigration and social services.
The Community Assistance Program is used to assist the
poorest members of our community during periods of
vulnerability in meeting their basic needs.

BRONFMAN ISRAEL EXPERIENCE CENTRE CENTRE BRONFMAN DES EXPÉRIENCES EN ISRAËL
BIEC provides a central resource for individuals and groups wishing to visit Israel on a structured program. It offers powerful identity-building experiences such as Birthright Israel and March of the Living, and facilitates access to a variety of Israel programs that meet the needs of local organizations.

BRONFMAN JEWISH EDUCATION CENTRE CENTRE BRONFMAN DE L’ÉDUCATION JUIVE
BJEC is the planning and coordinating agency for Jewish
community educational needs in Montreal. It offers
professional development, pedagogical resources,
education consultation, and instructional, technical,
and educational services to the Montreal Jewish
community-based school system.

CANADIAN COUNCIL FOR ISRAEL AND JEWISH ADVOCACY CONSEIL CANADIEN DE DÉFENSE ET DE PROMOTION DES DROITS DES JUIFS ET D’ISRAËL (CIJA)
CIJA is an umbrella organization for Jewish community
advocacy efforts – to help improve the quality of Jewish
life in Canada, to increase Canadians’ understanding of
Israel, and to strengthen the Canada-Israel relationship.

It brings together such organizations as the Canadian

Jewish Congress, the Quebec Jewish Congress, the
Canada-Israel Committee, the Quebec-Israel Committee,
the National Committee for Jewish Campus life and

CAMP B’NAI BRITH
CBB offers boys and girls 8-16 years old from all
segments of the Jewish community a high quality diverse
summer camping experience in a Jewish environment.
The CBB Senior Citizens Vacation Centre provides an
opportunity for seniors to enjoy a unique summer
camping experience.

COMMUNAUTÉ SÉPHARADE UNIFIÉE DU QUÉBEC (CSUQ)
The CSUQ ensures the advancement and preservation
of the 21,000-strong Sephardic community while
maintaining a spirit of unity and sense of belonging to the
Jewish community as a whole. It offers a variety of
recreational, social, educational, artistic, and religious
services, and oversees the consolidation of the Sephardic
community’s ties to local Jewish and public agencies.

CUMMINGS CENTRE CENTRE CUMMINGS
CJCS offers a full range of services and programs to
approximately 7,500 Jewish seniors aged 50 and over,
fulfilling the needs of both active and frail seniors. It
assists seniors, their families, and caregivers to access
the resources and services needed to maximize
independent living and enhance their quality of life. 1,200
volunteers are active in assisting day-to-day operations
of the agency.

HILLEL MONTREAL
Hillel Montreal promotes Jewish identity by offering a
wide array of cultural, social, recreational and religious
programs targeted to student needs. Hillel Montreal
presently operates two sites – the Hillel House and
Centre Hillel, and is active on the campuses of all four
universities and five CEGEPs in Montreal.

MONTREAL HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL CENTRE

The MHMC delivers Holocaust education and
awareness, and alerts the public to the dangers and
destructive powers of anti-Semitism, bigotry and hate,
while promoting respect for diversity and the sanctity of
all human life. In addition to attracting over 15,000
people a year to its museum, the MHMC offers a variety
of educational and commemorative programs.

PROJET GENÈSE
Project Genesis provides information and legal advice,

QUEBEC-ISRAEL COMMITTEE COMITÉ QUÉBEC-ISRAËL
Affiliated with the Canada-Israel Committee and a part
of CIJA, the Quebec-Israel Committee is mandated by
the Jewish community of Quebec to transmit the
community’s concerns and opinions about Israel to all
segments and structures of Quebec society. It sensitizes
Quebec society to the realities of daily life in Israel and
draws attention to the values that Quebec and Israel
