Welcome to the Shotokan Karate CSL homepage. We are a member of the Japan Karate Association (JKA) as well as JKA Shotokan Karate-Do World Organization of Canada (JKA-SKD). The CSL dojo is located in the Cote Saint-Luc area of greater Montreal. The club’s chief instructor, Stacy Ungar (5th Dan JKA), has been teaching traditional Shotokan karate to children and adults since 1991. Sensei Stacy is well-known for his aptitude for teaching kids, having taught karate at several summer camps, elementary schools, and daycares in the Cote Saint-Luc area.

Of course, both children and adult classes are offered at the CSL dojo. Come for a free trial. In addition to information about our dojo, this site provides material on JKA Shotokan karate, its history, and the philosophy behind this Japanese art of self-defense. Please enjoy your visit and feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments.
