Regular exposure to high levels of noise can cause hearing damage. People who have worked in a garage, factory, plant, construction site or other noisy environment are at an especially high risk of occupational hearing loss.

In Quebec, such workers, whether retired or not, may be entitled to free hearing aids and possibly even monetary compensation from the CNESST (Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail). The process is simple and we can assist you every step of the way.

The first thing you need to do is get a hearing test. If a hearing impairment is detected and is likely to stem from a job you held in Canada, the audiologist will refer you to an ENT doctor, who, in turn, will confirm the hearing impairment and send a claim to the CNESST.

If the CNESST recognizes your hearing impairment as an occupational disease, you’ll not only be entitled to free hearing aids but could also receive thousands of dollars in compensation.

If you suspect that your hearing problems are related to a job you held in Canada, contact us for a free screening test before December 30, 2025. If the test confirms that you have a hearing impairment, you’ll be able to directly make an appointment with an audiologist and an ENT doctor.
