Born and educated in Montreal, Me Berger graduated from the Université de Montréal, Faculty of Law, in 1980.  During his studies at the Université de Montréal he successfully completed the Licence en Lettres Légales (LL.L) programme as well as the Civil Law/Common Law Exchange Programme at Dalhousie University in 1979.  He was called to the Bar of the Province of Québec in 1981.  Since that time he has practiced law in private practice in the domains of civil, commercial, corporate and family law.  Fluently bilingual, he is married, has two children and resides in the West Island community of Dollard-des-Ormeaux.

Me Berger’s clientele of mainly individuals and small to medium-sized businesses benefit from his considerable expertise and experience, gained from his previous associations with the law firms of Michael N. Bergman, where he articled, and Tutino, Hussey as well as acting as in-house counsel for MCI Multinet Communications Inc. Me Berger specializes in catering to the needs of his clientele while remaining conscious of the ever rising costs of legal services.

Me Berger’s clientele benefits further from his experience in pleading before all levels of administrative and legal tribunals of the Province of Québec.  While building his practice, he has remained faithful to his belief that all individuals and businesses should be able to receive personalized and competent professional advice at a reasonable cost and without regard to the size of their legal needs.  An attention to detail and dedication to the needs of his clients results in a satisfied and loyal clientele.

Me Berger firmly believes that sound legal counseling is imperative in order to avoid costly and time consuming litigation and this forms a part of the unique approach to servicing his clientele.  Through his involvement in community organizations he is also able to bring a personal and sensitive approach to individuals involved in civil and family matters.  He presently serves as a School Commissioner with the Lester B. Pearson School Board, Honourary Member of the West Island Theatre Association (founded together with Charles McNeil and Joy Kertland in 2006) as well as a two time Past President of Mount Royal Lodge of B’nai Brith Canada.
