Hello dear future customers,

We are Erika Navia and Keven Lemonnier, owners of the FREK workshop boutique, an acronym for (Erika Keven Recycled Fur). Together, we started a brand new workshop creating accessories and clothing from recycled furs. I have always been passionate about fur, and this passion became even more alive when I learned that many coats end their lives in a landfill.

What a tragedy and what a waste!

In the past, fur coats were the normal way to dress in winter in Canada. Later, fur became a fashion trend, and today wearing it is less common. The dilemma is, what to do with these coats, after all they are heirlooms from our grandmothers! Putting them in the trash is not an appropriate solution and it’s quite sad!

We have made it our mission to save this heritage by making accessories and clothing with fur and by REUSING EXISTING fur coats. It’s a valuable material that shouldn’t be thrown away!

What we do,

Accessories such as cushions, mittens, toque pom-poms, mitten trim, hats and other items upon special request. Absolutely everything is made with recycled fur! We both adhere to a strong ethic and firmly believe in the reuse of these noble materials and therefore in the redefinition of something obsolete, while remaining conscious and respectful of the use of this beautiful material.

We offer two different services:

From our extensive inventory of fur coats, we create unique items for purchase that allow you to own and contribute to the preservation of this raw material and our Quebec heritage. You can also buy unique items right now from the shop, which is stocked according to production.

You can also order a custom-made item for yourself or as a gift.

The second service, we will use your embarrassing inheritance that nobody really wants, and which was so precious to your grandmother and that you cannot get rid of. We will transform your coat into a functional item that can be shared and used by the family.
