I have worked in banking all of my professional life. I am the poster child of the bank recruitment, start at the bottom and work your way up. As I matured and learned more and more on my own I realized the truth, as I was, just a number.
I worked at a few different banks, and saw a pattern. People would not get the advice, or service I felt they deserved. It was also very difficult for me to deviate from the bank’s view. More and more I learned on my own, until I decided to test myself, I became a mortgage specialist.
This was a hybrid position between a salaried employee, and someone working on their own. I now had the taste and confidence of my own success. The wheels started to turn and I soon realized my destiny was to work for my clients directly, no more middle man. I wanted to be accountable to my clients and my family, no one else. I wanted to make my clients wealthier without enriching the bank.
