CURRENTLY OFFERING online and phone sessions
During these difficult times and uncertainty due to the COVID-19 virus, it is more
important than ever to obtain support and help if needed.
I have found that the immediacy offered by this approach really increases the sense of
connectedness and mutual focus. It’s like sitting together over some coffee, or tea, and
really ups the collaboration and expedites the communication……a surprisingly effective
way to create an enhanced connection and more engaged sense of each other's
Discussion occurs at a more immediate and "present" manner, and with fewer
distractions – the focus of the communication is greatly facilitated….

Richard D Rapoport’s Groups
These eight-week seminars are based on material developed over many years of providing couple enhancement training with the Sex and Couple Therapy Service of the Psychology Department (McGill University Health Centre – Royal Victoria Hospital). The focus is on creating a relaxed “user-friendly” environment and an enjoyable process of both self-examination and greater relationship awareness. Sessions are focused on the psychology of attraction, love, anger and conflict resolution, communication, emotional intimacy, physical intimacy and spiritual growth. Meetings are held in a relaxed atmosphere and provides an effective and inspiring way to gain insight into oneself and one’s “couplehood”.
“Self-parenting” provides guidance and training in recognizing and responding to some of our greatest needs: to boost our sense of respect for ourselves as unique individuals, and to free ourselves from counter-productive thinking and self-sabotaging emotions. Training also involves such skills as: distress tolerance, emotional regulation, grounding, self-soothing, confidence-building and performance enhancement. The group is primarily attended by participants who are generally comfortable with their overall functioning, but are looking to develop their capacities to more successfully deal with personal, professional, relationship or work or sports-related objectives or challenges.
These groups are based on work that I originally did at The Royal Academy of Music in London (U.K.). The objective is to assist participants in both the awareness of and the expression of their creative capacities – whether they are currently working professionally, would like to do so, or simply want to deepen the level of creativity in their daily lives. Attention is paid to to “blocks” in the creative process and the capacity for self-expression. Emphasis is placed on the development of a more tangible sense of self (selves!), & responding to self-defeating thoughts, feelings and attitudes.
