Federation CJA has strong and diverse relationships with the agencies which deliver services to Montreal’s Jewish community. Some agencies are recognized by Federation as Affiliated Agencies. These tend to receive significant funding from Federation CJA. Federation also funds some communal organizations that are not constituent agencies but are closely associated with the organization. Federation maintains close relationships with other associated communal organizations that it does not directly fund.

Ometz is a charitable organization offering employment, immigration, school and social services to help people fulfill their potential, and secure the growth and vitality of the Montreal community. (more)

BJEC (Bronfman Jewish Education Centre) is the planning and coordinating agency for Jewish community educational needs in Montreal. (more)

CBB is a residential Jewish community camp, which strives to provide children an enriched summer camp experience in the Laurentians, with an emphasis on Jewish education, Jewish community, superior skill-based programming, and leadership development. (more)

The Communauté Sépharade Unifiée du Québec is committed to their mission of preserving, enriching and promoting the culture and the identity of the Sephardic community. (more)

The Cummings Centre, a non-profit community centre of excellence, connects people 50 years of age and older to the arts, education, health, wellness and Jewish life. The Agency is committed to enhancing the quality of life of the individual and promotes positive attitudes about aging. It emphasizes volunteer involvement in all aspects of Agency life. (more)

Founded in 1950 in Montreal, the JEM Workshop Inc. operates as an adapted workplace with industrialized vocational goals, and is recognized by Emploi-Québec. The JEM Workshop’s highly individualized services assist employees to function as closely as possible to their potential, thereby helping them progress toward normalized living and a productive vocational status. (more)

The Jewish Public Library (JPL) is a full service lending and research library containing North America’s largest circulating Judaica collection, The JPL is an internationally-recognized resource while also meeting the informational, educational and recreational needs of Jewish Montrealers of all ages and backgrounds. (more)

The Montreal Holocaust Museum educates people of all ages and backgrounds about the Holocaust, while sensitising the public to the universal perils of antisemitism, racism, hate and indifference. Through its Museum, its commemorative programs and educational initiatives, the Montreal Holocaust Museum promotes respect for diversity and the sanctity of human life. (more)

Non-funded Associated Communal Organizations

AJDS is an umbrella organization representing and promoting the interests of independent Jewish day schools in Montreal. Our government accredited group of 6 high schools and 9 elementary schools is consistently recognized for maintaining high academic standards and exemplary success rates. (more)

The Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital (JRH) is a general and specialized care hospital focusing on rehabilitation. It is in addition the regional centre for pediatric and adult services for individuals with physical disabilities. The Hospital offers adaptation and rehabilitation services, support to social reintegration services and accommodation in non-institutional residences. The purpose of the Synagogue Council of Greater Montreal is to preserve and foster Judaism by uniting constituent synagogues of all denominations, without interfering with their autonomy. The synagogues come together in the Council to further their common interests. (more)
